- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I lived close by 25 years ago. I just moved up from Melbourne, where the very best F&C shops were run by the Greeks. Young George with his thick black wavy Mediterranean hair was always personally on the cookers. His Mum and Dad preparing the family secret batters, out back of shop. Now, I've moved away and George has lost his black locks- a distinguished grey salt'n'pepper adorn his ever cheerful head. New Shop, new image, more staff... What hasn't changed is George, still to this day, man's the cooker himself and what comes out of his kitchen is the best damn fish and Chips... Man the Chips- they do not lie!... You will get in Brisbane. You know, I may only get to George's once a year, these days. But George has never forgotten my name... That's Service above and beyond....
